PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This project unlike most underground utility
projects is located in a secured area,
requiring that the contractor comply with
United States Military Base rules and
regulations.
This project has three distinct but related
construction work characteristics.
First, it involves work directly to
underground. This type of work includes the
installation of various sizes of pad mounted
transformers, switchgears, handholes,
trenching, laying of conduits and
installation of power cables and cable TV
wirings.
The second characteristics involves
above-ground work which involves surface
mounted pull boxes and conduits and for some
units includes the installation of new meter
sockets and new 35 feet concrete pole for
streetlights and shall be designed to
withstand 175mph.
The transformer and main distribution panel
are located in one enclosure. All
electrical works such as street lighting
installations including lighting fixtures,
energizing the system, cable pulling and
cable splicing, high potential merger test,
equipment installations such as transformer
, switchboard and switchgear are also part
of work. |
