Administrative Runner

 

Job Summary:


An administrative or office runner performs a variety of administrative duties at an office, which may include delivering documents to other outside vendors, or customers in different outside locations, sorting out current and incoming mails or packages, and maintaining the tidiness of the company’s common areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Delivers and picks up packages, company documents and other related files, to and from outside companies and vendors.

  • Performs routine maintenance on the company’s common areas, such as the kitchen area, conference room, or break room, by refilling necessary supplies and maintaining the tidiness of respective areas.

  • Transports company personnel from the company to their respective destinations or vice versa.

  • Provides friendly accommodation to visitors, such as making coffee or tea, and other similar tasks.

  • Loads/Unloads (company) vehicles with listed goods, all the while making sure that all goods are to be and were delivered to the right location.

  • Performs general office and administrative work such as filing documents or running errands.

  • Acts as the liaison of the company and outside vendors or customers by carrying out information to supervisors, colleagues, and other personnel.

  • Sorts and distributes company mails within or outside company personnel.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Possesses organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Skilled in active listening, retaining information, and asking questions as appropriate.

  • Has effective teamwork and collaborative skills.

  • Has the ability to operate or drive company vehicle.

  • Has the ability to maneuver and carry heavy packages.

  • Has the ability to perform duties with uprightness, professionalism, and confidentiality.

  • Has the ability to perform in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Has the ability to demonstrate critical thinking, generate effective solutions and other approaches to problems.

  • Has the ability to perform administrative and office duties, such as managing files and records, creating forms, handling inventory, and other employment-related files.

  • Has the ability to monitor and review necessary information regarding materials, events, or environments to detect potential problems.

  • Knowledge of island routes to ensure timely delivery or pick up of company materials or personnel.

 

Education and Experience:

 

The Administrative/Office Runner position requires a minimum of a High School Diploma. The position also requires a valid Guam driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and has ability to obtain a U.S. Government Installations through the Defense Biometric Identification Systems (DBIDS). Additionally, having previous admin- or office-work experience is highly recommended.
