Construction Project Manager - GPSI

Job Description:

 

The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall management of projects and leadership of project teams within Construction. As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for mentoring the project personnel as well as managing budgets and calendars and organizing documentation correspondence as it pertains to the project.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a complete and thorough knowledge of contract requirements.

  • Communicate effectively with all project stake holders.

  • Identify and manage project risks.

  • Provide input to ensure project personnel, activities and resources are effectively aligned to meet task order objectives.

  • Prepare written reports and any other necessary documentation as it pertains to specific projects.

  • Responsible for managing, coordinating and administrating major projects that may involve GPSI.

  • Conduct periodic project and customer meetings to review progress and discuss issues. Ensure problems involving coordination, schedule and the setting of priorities are resolved by the project teams.

        

         

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field, Master's Degree preferred.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Design Build Construction with projects of at least $10-100M in value.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as Project Manager with experience in preparing and enforcing safety programs on contracts of similar size and complexity or 3 years of experience if candidate possesses a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or safety and health degree.

  • Training and qualifications as stipulated in EM 385-1-1, OSHA 511 certification.

  • Strong Microsoft Suite to include Outlook, Excel and Word skills.

  • Ability to work flexible hours as required to meet deadlines.

  • Must be able to review and edit reports and proposals.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Must be able to gather and analyze data, reason logically and creatively, draw conclusions and make appropriate recommendations.
