Material Coordinator - Guam Housing (Ace)

Summary/General Description of Job:

The incumbent is responsible for the daily operations of material procurement, storage, inventory control, and requisition process at the Main Office warehouse facility. The duties will be accomplished in accordance with Corporate Procedures, SOP and applicable local regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

  • Keeps contract Project Manager appraised of unique situations and problems encountered.

  • Provides reports of material status on a daily basis to the contract Deputy Project Manager.

  • Organizes and coordinates warehousing operations to provide a wide variety of materials, equipments, and services.

  • Submits requisition to ensure adequate materials and services are available for contract requirements.

  • Moves or transports materials within warehouse, using hand truck or forklift.

  • Keeps and maintains accurate records of material requisitions and deliveries.

  • Follows established safety procedure and utilizes safety protective equipment and clothing that pertains to a particular work. Ensures proper housekeeping practices are observed.

  • Operates gas forklift, pallet lift, hand power tools; Flat Bed Truck.

  • Prepares and maintains issuance records of tools, field equipment, vehicles, and materials.

  • Performs other related tasks as direct by the contract Project Manager.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Limited knowledge of hand and power tools.

  • Ability to work on timely and cost effective performance of duties.

  • Ability to work with other employees and customers harmoniously.

  • Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience & Professional Association):

Minimum

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Ability to perform with basic mathematical functions.

  • One (1) year experience with material packaging, record filling and/or property inventory.

  • Ability to obtain access to U.S. Government Installations through the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS).

  • Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Preferred

  • Two (2) years work experience in the field supply and warehousing, or equivalent.

  • Construction and/or maintenance knowledge.

  • Knowledge of inventory management systems such as Maximo, SAP or Mincom

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word software programs.

  • Knowledge and experience in the use of the delivery truck, with an AB driver’s license.

  • Knowledge and experience in the use and operations of fork-lifts equipment.
