Truck Driver

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable truck driver to operate our specialized waste collection vehicles
in a safe and efficient manner. This role involves the collection and transportation of waste and recyclables
in line with company procedures and safety guidelines. The ideal candidate should be adaptable, responsive,
and reliable.

Responsibilities:

Route Management: Follow designated routes for waste collection.
Adjust routes as necessary based on traffic, road conditions, or special instructions.
Collection and Transportation: Operate waste collection vehicles, including trucks and other relevant
equipment, in a safe and efficient manner.
Ensure proper segregation and handling of different types of waste (e.g., recyclables, hazardous materials).
Transport collected waste to designated disposal or recycling facilities.
Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Ensure the truck is compliant with environmental and safety standards.
Customer Interaction: Provide professional customer service by interacting appropriately with clients.
Equipment Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good
working condition.
Perform basic maintenance on the truck (e.g., checking fluids, brakes, tires).
Assist with other duties related to waste management as needed, including general maintenance and
cleaning of equipment.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of services, including any issues encountered.
Report any vehicle malfunctions, safety issues, or incidents to the supervisor promptly.
Emergency Response: Handle unexpected situations, such as truck breakdowns or accidents, with minimal
disruption to the schedule.

Qualifications:

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)

• Medical certificate

• Ability to read and follow instructions and communicate in a clear and prompt manner.

Education and Experience:

• Prior experience driving heavy equipment is required. Experience with waste management vehicles
  is a plus.

Job Type: 

Full-time or part-time, depending on the route
