Electrical Engineer
Job Summary:
The Electrical Engineer position is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supervising the manufacture of electrical equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Plans, designs, and monitors the actual execution of all electrical related works for commercial construction projects to ensure that electrical systems are installed in accordance with approved drawings, contract documents, project specifications and applicable codes and standards.

Prepares construction drawings, as-built drawings, precise technical reports, calculations plus sketches, and other project documentation as required.

Works in conjunction with the Company’s Electrical Engineering Team in preparing, assessing constructability, and applying value engineering methodologies to the preliminary design drawings and specifications for the electrical systems, components and equipment for the prospective Design Build Project.

Compiles data and generates reports regarding existing or potential electrical engineering projects.

Directs and supervises workers and sub-contractors on construction site to ensure project meets specifications and schedule.

Confers with foreman, sub-contractors, inspectors, and suppliers to determine project details, such as plan preparation, tools and materials, acceptance testing, evaluation of field conditions and coordination of various phases of construction.

Prepares reports, determine construction phase schedules and calculates cost estimates.

Estimates labor, material, or construction costs for budget preparation purposes.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Has the ability to perform technological duties such as using computers or other computer systems to perform data entering, creating purchasing orders, and more.

Has the ability to analyze information and effectively differentiate the pros and cons especially when making decisions.

Knowledge of data processing and electronic mail software: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, etc.

Knowledge of electrical manufacturing processes.

Knowledge of raw materials, production, and other related processes.
Education and Experience:
The Electrical Engineer position has a minimum requirement of a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, and at least two to five years (2-5) of verifiable work as an Electrical Engineer.
As Core Tech is a major participant in the military buildup related to the base realignment of American military forces in the Pacific, having any related experience in work involving the construction of military projects, such as providing a range of services to private organizations, armed escorts, and other government agencies, and having other related training is preferred for
this position.
